Immediately post-match, it was hard to know how to feel about Ireland's 1-1 draw with Sweden.
Looking back it feels like a missed opportunity. Ireland were the better team for the majority of the game though never forced home that advantage, allowing the Swedes to regain a foothold with a quarter of an hour remaining.
In the hours after the game, Irish players within the squad expressed their feelings about the result on social media.
The consensus from Darren Randolph, Shane Duffy, Cyrus Christie and James McClean was that we were unlucky. Given the number of Irish long range strikes which tested both Andreas Isaksson and the sturdiness of the goal, perhaps they are right. There was also that chance which grazed John O'Shea's leg with the goal wide open.
