We're back with another round of Irish player ratings, giving you a look at the performances of our footballers plying their trade abroad.

David McGoldrick served a timely reminder of what Ireland will be missing out on after his international retirement, while there were a huge number of Irish goalscorers in the FA Cup.

Here are the ratings in full.

Premier League

Matt Doherty was the standout Irish player in the Premier League, playing a big part in Tottenham's 1-0 victory at West Brom.

The right back assisted Harry Kane's late winner, floating in a beautiful cross for the English striker. It was his first assist in the Premier League this season.

He was rated at 7.5/10 by Who Scored.

Fresh off his recent international retirement, David McGoldrick was also amongst the goals.

He scored the opener in Sheffield United visit to Chelsea, although his side would ultimately fall to a 4-1 defeat. It was a beautiful finish, steering Saner Berge's ball into the box towards the net with a deft flick.

Unfortunately, an injury sustained by Enda Stevens in that game will keep him out of Ireland's upcoming fixtures.

In all, there were eight Irish starters in the division over the weekend, while three more players made appearances off the bench.

Championship

For the second time this season, Cyrus Christie was the best Irish player in the Championship over the weekend (8.1/10).

The Nottingham Forest defender helped his team to a 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers, providing the assist for Lyle Taylor's opener with this stunning cross.

Having not originally been part of Stephen Kenny's plans this month, Christie has now been called up to the squad as a replacement for Enda Stevens.

Scott Hogan was the only Irish goalscorer in the division, although his header did little to stop Birmingham City falling to a 3-1 defeat against Bournemouth.

Darragh Lenihan (who got an assist), Alan Browne, and James McClean were the other standout performers in the Championships, with each player earning a rating of 7.6/10 from Who Scored for their displays.

League One

There were no fixtures in League One or League Two over the weekend, with clubs in those divisions instead lining out in the FA Cup.

21-year old Lincoln City winger Anthony Scully was amongst the goals, netting a brace in his side's 6-2 victory over Forest Green. The second strike (1:50 into the video below) was an absolute cracker.

There were two Irish goalscorers in Portsmouth's 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town. Ronan Curtis opened the scoring in the first half with a dipping free-kick, before Sean Raggett scored the winner in the 111th minute.

Jack Taylor also kept his impressive goalscoring form going, scoring the winner in Peterborough's 2-1 victory over Oxford United.

This was Taylor's fourth goal of the season, with the 22-year old scoring in each of his last three appearances.

League Two

Bradford City's Billy Clarke scored two in his club's 7-0 win over non-league side Tonbridge, with this free-kick the pick of the goals from the game.

Anthony O'Connor also scored in that one.

The other Irish goalscorer from a League Two club was Jamie Devitt, with the attacking midfielder scoring an absolute screamer to secure the win over Leyton Orient.
