It was a solid, if unspectacular, weekend for most of our internationals, with some strong performances in both the Premier League and Championship. Matt Doherty and Callum O'Dowda both continued their good runs of form, while Cyrus Christie had a bit of a nightmare.

Irish Player Ratings
Matt Doherty won a penalty for Wolves in their impressive 3-1 victory at Everton, and the right back put in a fantastic overall display. The Express & Star gave him an 8/10, mentioning that he was 'defensively unflappable'.
Seamus Coleman started that game for Everton, according to the Liverpool Echo he looked 'sluggish' throughout the game before being withdrawn in 17 minutes to go (5/10).
Brighton kept yet another clean sheet against Watford, with Shane Duffy performing to his usual standards in the heart of the defence. He was given 7/10 by the Brighton & Hove Independent, as he continues to display terrific form this season.
Burnley grabbed a late draw at home to Southampton, with Jeff Hendrick starting the game. Playing in a right midfield role, his performance was rated at 6/10 by the Lancashire Telegraph. Robbie Brady and Shane Long both made substitution appearances in that match.
Cyrus Christie frustrated manager Claudio Ranieri in Fulham's 2-0 loss at Crystal Palace, giving away penalty for a stupid handball inside the box. Football.London rated his performance at a horrific 3/10, before being withdrawn to injury in the second half.
Sean Maguire and Alan Browne started for Preston in their 0-0 draw with Derby, with both rated at 8/10 by the Lancashire Evening Post, who also mentioned it was Maguire's best performance since his return from injury.
Richard Keogh played the full 90 minutes for Derby, who impressed the Derby Telegraph with yet another 'strong' performance (7/10).
Conor Hourihane started in central midfield for Aston Villa in their 0-0 draw with Reading, with his defensive acumen mentioned by the Birmingham Mail who rated him at 6/10.
Middlesbrough conceded twice in their win at West Brom, but Darren Randolph still impressed for the visitors. The Teeside Gazette rated his performance at 7/10, saying that he was 'unlucky' in conceding both goals.
It was a bad day at the office for Darragh Lenihan, as Blackburn let in five goals in their loss at Brentford. He was given a 5/10 by the Lancashire Telegraph, and finished the match limping after a challenge by one of his opponents.
Callum O'Dowda continued his excellent run of form, scoring in Bristol's 2-0 win at home to Swansea. He was rated at 8/10 by the Bristol Post, who said he was 'a constant thorn in the side and middle of Swansea City's midfield'.
Shaun Williams played the full 90 minutes for Millwall in their 0-0 draw with Rotherham, only being rated at 5/10 by Football.London. Richie Towell made a substitute appearance for the visitors.
James McClean started up front for Hull in their 2-0 loss at Hull, being rated at 6/10 by the Stoke Sentinel for an unconvincing display.
David McGoldrick scored for Sheffield United in their 2-0 win over Bolton, continuing what has been an excellent season for the striker. The Star rated him at 8/10, and he likely won't score an easier goal than this one all season.
John Egan also put in a stellar performance in that game, producing the type of display that will no doubt delight Mick McCarthy. The Star had this to say about the Cork man:
Improved with a change of boots at half-time and even ventured forward at one stage, when United had the centre-half overlapping a centre-half overlapping the full-back. Won everything in the air and was tidy on the ball, too (7/10).
Enda Stevens played the full 90 minutes for Sheffield, and he 'caused havoc' in a 7/10 display.
