The Irish Independent's predicted teams for tonight's Mexico-Cameroon game didn't pan out as they had anticipated. The line-up asks a lot of both sets of defences and midfields. Liam Ridgewell (as with many others in their putative Mexican line-up, it was a bit of a shock to learn he had Mexican blood in him) is expected to fulfill both the left back and left-midfield roles. In this he is accompanied by his fellow defenders. That is unless all the defenders have little known brothers who line out in front of them.
Ditto the Cameroon side, where Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand (presumably its them) have both been selected in the positions of left back/left midfield and centre back/centre midfield respectively.
Begovic lines up up front for Mexico but he (or someone of the same name) has also been selected in goal for the Cameroon side.
