The Premier League has launched a new literacy campaign, and to promote it, they've asked each team to nominate one player to discuss their literary tastes and do a bit of reading for the website. It's all a bit strange and something some clubs were uncomfortable with: Stoke City sent some guy named Carlo Nash to do the reading. Two Irish players pop up: John O'Shea, Sunderland captain, who recommends John Grisham's The Runaway Jury and Stephen Ward, who recommends Dan Brown's Digital Fortress. Not surprisingly, England's most literary footballer Joey Barton has the most 'left-field' selection, Bram Stoker's Dracula.
