If you travelled to France for the Euros, you'll be familiar with Jamie Monaghan - the Irish fan whose wheelchair was 'pimped' to the point that he instantly became the most stylish man at the tournament.
If you didn't get across to Paris, Bordeaux, Lille or Lyon you might be familiar with Jamie from our Euros Facebook group, or perhaps saw him feature in our Euros web series - Balls.ie Euro 2016 Fan Zone Live - where Mikey and Gavan were particularly fond of his wheels, which are signed by the entire Irish team.
While in Bordeaux, the young man's 'Jamie On Tour' flag was pinched from outside the camper home he was staying in, and after a mammoth effort by his fellow fans, it was actually the city of Bordeaux which came to his aid (shout out to a Frenchman known as 'Pascal the designer' for his handiwork).
And though Jamie has since followed Ireland home from France, it looks like he'll be heading back to represent us once more in the coming weeks.
As you're aware, the Irish football fans are due to receive the Medal of The City of Paris from Mayor Anne Hidalgo for their contribution to the tournament and 'exemplary sportsmanship' while camped in the French capital, and taking to his Facebook page, Jamie announced to followers and friends that he has been asked to accept the medal on Ireland's behalf.
Great news!
You can follow Jamie's journey back to France on his official Facebook page.
