I don't want to alarm the people of Long Eaton but you can expect an influx of new Irish season ticket holders at Long Eaton United after the club captured the signing of the man, the myth, the legend; Mr Clinton Morrison.

The former Irish international played his first game for the Midland League Premier Division side on Saturday but it was a bittersweet occasion. While the team heralded the arrival of the Clint Commander, they went on to suffer their first defeat of the season – losing 3-2 to Rocester.

35-year-old Morrison played 70 minutes and could only watch in despair as his side conceding the losing goal in the 91st minute. Anyhow, I'm off to buy the team's jersey. #LongEatonForLife
