The Irish Cerebral Palsy football team will play at the Paralympics next year.

A place was secured by progressing to the quarter-finals of the World Championships with an 8-0 win against Portugal on Saturday.

They will play Ukraine in the next round.

Ireland opened the scoring after just a minute through Gary Messett. Two minutes later, Messett bagged his second on the game with a brilliant long range strike.
