Brighton & Hove Albion's U23s stunning form in the Premier League 2 Division 2 continued tonight with a 5-0 victory over Wolves.
The story of the night for the Seagulls was the excellent performance of Aaron Connolly. The Irish teen joined Brighton in the summer of 2016 after a successful childhood as an underage prodigy with Mervue United in Galway. He knocked up three goals on the way to the win, including an exceptional volley.
U23: 59: GOOAALL!! That's a hat-trick for the Irishman. Connolly races onto a through-ball from Sanders, and the striker opens his body to curl an effort into the bottom corner past Sondergaard. #WWFC 0 #BHAFC 3 #PL2 pic.twitter.com/8jD3wy1Dt0

Speaking to Balls.ie last week, first team goalkeeper Tim Krul was hugely positive surrounding the future for Connolly.
Aaron Connolly is another big talent. These guys have a big future and it's about getting a chance. They have a pre-season ahead to do that, and they are at the right club with the right manager who will give them opportunities.
Connolly only moved into Albion's under-23 side for at the start of the season as he is also able to play for the under-18s. Tonight's result should mean Brighton face Middlesborough in a one-off play-off semi-final.
