Norwich City pulled off a sensational four goals in 11 minutes tonight against Barnsley U18s to win 4-1. Republic of Ireland youth international Adam Idah bagged a hat-trick to set up a potential next round clash against Manchester United.
The Cork lad joined Norwich City from College Corinthians last summer and has impressed for Ireland at underage already this year. He has played for Ireland since U15 level and is still only 16.
GOALL!!!!! (Idah, 68)
It's a ten-minute hat-trick for @adamidah1! Played through on goal, he shows great strength to brush off the defender and curl the ball past the keeper.

Idah has been in superb form for Norwich recently, grabbing a goal against Man City's youth side last week. He was one of the standout players during the Uefa U17s finals last May.
Great performance from the boys tonight against a tough team, delight to get my first hat-trick for @NorwichCityFC and also get man of the match #OTBC 🔰 https://t.co/yF7GVBFTXH

Irish soccer has endured a difficult year yet the recent explosion of young talent is somewhat encouraging. Idah is still only 16 and yet to make the breakthrough to Daniel Farke's senior side.
Farke was in attendance and in the aftermath of the game U18 coach David Wright was full of praise for Idah when speaking to The Pink Un:
The one Adam ran through and their skipper was on their back for most of the time, I thought was an outstanding goal. He fended him off maybe three or four times and then to have the composure at the end of it to finish was excellent.
For the likes of Adam to show his quality in front of the gaffer and Stuart is very good.
Adam Idah is certainly one to keep an eye on.
