Vera Pauw has named a 27-player Ireland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Sweden.
London City Lionesses midfielder Lily Agg has been called up for the first time. The 28-year-old, who hails from Brighton, qualifies to play for Ireland through for Cork-born grandmother. She had trained with the squad in April 2021.
Injuries have ruled out Diane Caldwell (arm), Savannah McCarthy (knee), Niamh Farrelly (ankle), Emily Whelan (quad) and Aoife Colvill (knee), while Saoirse Noonan is continuing her recovery from a knee injury.
Ireland are currently second in Group A of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers, eight points behind Sweden who have won all five of their games. Though, the group leaders have played one game more than Ireland.
The squad will meet in Dublin on Tuesday before flying to Gothenburg on April 9th ahead of the game three days later.
Sweden vs Ireland will be shown live on RTÉ2 at 5:30pm on Tuesday, April 12th.
