All post-season international friendlies should be commentated on in Spanish. It certainly makes watching Ireland take on Costa Rica at 1am on a Saturday morning more exciting.

It finished 1-1 between the two sides in Philadelphia.

Kevin Doyle put Ireland ahead with a really well directed header from a Marc Wilson cross.

Not long before half time, Costa Rica had Gonzalez sent off for hitting Kevin Doyle with a swinging arm.

Doyle was left bloodied by the incident.

Costa Rica then equalised from the penalty spot through Borges after David Forde fouled in the box.

Shortly after the Costa Rican equaliser, Robbie Keane had a penalty saved following a foul on Stephen Quinn.
