Exciting Ireland U19 international Sean Moore has signed for Europa Conference League champions West Ham United, in a massive move for the youngster.

Moore starred last season for Cliftonville, being named the Northern Irish Football Writers' Association Young Player of the Year after scoring five goals in 31 Premiership appearances.

At the age of just 17, Moore is hot property not only at club level, but at international level. Despite Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill saying that he hoped to see Moore line out for his team, he ultimately chose to switch his international allegiance to the Republic, when called up to the Irish U19 team earlier this year.

He made his first appearance for the Republic of Ireland U19s against Greece in March, and is a highly-rated prospect for the future.

Moore was photographed with West Ham legend Mark Noble on his arrival in London, and spoke to the club website of his excitement to play for the Conference League Champions:

I started playing football when I was six, so it’s pretty amazing to sign a professional contract at West Ham United. I am absolutely delighted to join West Ham. It’s a massive Club, so it was an easy decision for me.

Last year, West Ham won the FA Youth Cup, and the first team also won the UEFA Europa Conference League, which was a brilliant achievement.

It’s a family-orientated Club too. I have heard nothing but good things about West Ham. I know Callum Marshall, Patrick Kelly, and Josh Briggs well, and they told me how good it is here and how much they have enjoyed it.

It’s clear there’s a pathway to the first team from the Academy as well, which is important for young players such as myself. I would love to play for the first team one day. I’m hoping to make a good impression when I start with the U21s and hopefully do very well in east London.

West Ham academy manager Kenny Brown also spoke on the signing of Sean Moore, describing the ex-Cliftonville man as a "dynamic, pacey winger who we have been monitoring over the past couple of years," and said the Irishman had a bright future ahead of him in east London.

Fingers crossed we will see Sean Moore lining out in the claret and blue in the Premier League before too long.
