Giovanni Trapattoni has announced the Ireland team to play Sweden in Stockholm tomorrow night.
Millwall's David Forde starts in goal and the back four is as expected. The major surprise or maybe lack of it if you were following tweets from journalists at the Irish training camp during the weeks is that Paul Green will start in midfield, partnering Glenn Whelan in the centre. Paul Green could be in the team specifically to do a man marking job on Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The wings are occupied by James McClean and Robbie Brady though Brady is named as a doubt but not due to injury, instead it is for psychological reasons. Andy Keogh will take Brady's place if he isn't ready.
Shane Long partners Robbie Keane in attack but Keane says he could drop deeper to become an extra midfielder.
Ireland team: Forde; Coleman, O'Shea, Clark, Wilson; Brady (confirmed after training), Green, Whelan, McClean; Keane, Long

Trap likening Green's style and attitidue to Gennaro Gattuso and Nobby Stiles. "Not stars like Messi".

Keogh will start if Brady is not ready.

Trap says Robbie Brady's place not confirmed because he wants a reaction from him to not being named in the team. Or something

Trap on McCarthy omission: "McCarthy also plays well but I couldn't ask him to stay in this position." Seems to be about marking Zlatan.
