Martin O'Neill has named the Irish side to face the United States in tonight's international friendly at the Aviva Stadium. Graham Burke becomes the first League of Ireland player to start an Irish international since Joe Gamble did so against Bolivia, during that infamous tour of the USA under Steve Staunton.
As expected, John O'Shea starts as captain on his final appearance for Ireland.
Elsewhere, Jeff Hendrick returns in what resembles as strong an Irish line up as could possibly selected, allowing for the farewell for O'Shea.
It looks like Ireland will play three at the back, at least while O'Shea is on the field.
Here's the team in full:
Doyle; Coleman; Duffy, O'Shea, K Long; McClean; Rice, Hendrick, O'Dowda; Burke, Walters
