After the dominant nature of their promotion from the Championship, there is no doubt that Burnley massively underwhelmed upon their return to the Premier League in 2023/24.
Having played some brilliant football in the second tier and having an exciting up and coming manager in Vincent Kompany, there were some high expectations about what The Clarets could produce in the top flight. However, their campaign was a disaster right from the off.
Burnley would eventually finish 19th in the league, eight points off safety having won just five games all season.
Despite this poor return, Vincent Kompany was rewarded by being given the Bayern Munich job. If one clip that has emerged from his time at Turf Moor is anything to go by, his new players in Germany could be in for a rough time over the coming months.

Irishman Caught In Awkward Spot During Kompany Row At Burnley
Vincent Kompany always demanded the highest standards during his own playing career, something that was probably made a bit easier due to the fact that he was at one of the world's best clubs in Manchester City.
It seems as though he grew frustrated with some of his players at Burnley last season, with an upcoming documentary capturing his furious training rant directed at Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson.
In the clip, Kompany berates the Iceland international for his attitude in training, something that did not go down well with the player. You can spot Ireland midfielder Josh Cullen in the background, awkwardly doing his best to ignore the increasingly fraught confrontation between his manager and teammate.
📢MISSION TO BURNLEY S2 SPOLIER 📢

Don't f*****g test me! Do not f*****g test me, enough of the f*****g moaning!
Enough with the f*****g moaning, playing f*****g football...
F*****g play! How many times do I have to tell you to stop f*****g moaning? Have you got something you want to communicate to the team? You want to communicate something you big boy?
You're a big boy, you want to talk? Lets take the team and say what you want to say. You're moaning about everything today.
The body language is f*****g s**t, I'm not accepting it.
It certainly seemed a bit over the top.
While a figure of Kompany's stature can get away with that behaviour at the likes of Burnley, you get the sense that the big egos in the Bayern Munich dressing room would not be quite so open to such an approach.
