Martin O'Neill has trimmed his provisional 40-man squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Germany and Poland.

Three players have been cut due to injury. Ciaran Clark, Stephen Quinn and Harry Arter.

The biggest loss of these three is undoubtedly Clark. The Aston Villa centre back has been ruled out due to a thigh strain. He started both of Ireland's qualifier wins against Gibraltar and Georgia last month.

Marc Wilson - the man who would likely replace Clark in the team - is, worryingly, an injury doubt due to a calf strain.

Here's the 27-man squad.
