Another member of the Republic of Ireland squad has reportedly tested positive for Covid-19, something that could have a big impact on the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixture against Finland.
The Irish Independent are reporting that a member of the squad tested positive for the virus after a round of testing was carried out after yesterday's game against Wales, the results of which were received this morning.
It is believed that the player that tested positive is not one of the four squad members who missed yesterday's game after being deemed close contacts with the player who tested positive after arriving back from Slovakia.
This player will now not travel with the rest of the squad to Finland, while it remains to be seen if any other players will be affected by the diagnosis.
One bit of good news for Ireland is that a number of players are set to come into the squad for Wednesday's game. Dara O'Shea, Ryan Manning, Jason Knight, and Ronan Curtis have been called-up, while Adam Idah and Aaron Connolly have also returned.
Considering those players have just arrived into the camp, you'd imagine it is unlikely that any of them will be affected by this latest positive test.
