Ireland will play a senior international game in Cork for the first time since a 1985 friendly against Spain at Flower Lodge - now the site of Páirc Ui Rinn.
On Tuesday May 31st Ireland will take on Belarus at Turner's Cross. The game will be four days after Martin O'Neill's side face Netherlands at the Aviva.
The Belarus game will also see Martin O'Neill select a team from his final 23-man squad for Euro 2016. It was confirmed during the week that O'Neill will name his squad on May 28th.
News of a possible friendly was initially reported by the Irish Daily Mirror on Thursday.
Belarus are currently ranked 64th in the world.
