Huzzah, we're on the up once more. For the second time in a row Ireland have taken a jump in the FIFA world rankings and this time it's a significant(ish) jump.
That all important draw with Poland, had more of an effect than simply keeping us in the race for Euro 2016 qualification.
We may still be on the look out for a win over someone ranked higher than us but a draw has kept us ticking along. Last time out we stopped the slide and moved up one place to 66th, now were up a massive four places to 62. That means we've now overtaken Australia, Peru, Rwanda and Trinidad and Tobago in the rankings.
A great day to be Irish. Equatorial Guinea, we're coming for you.
Elsewhere in the rankings, Germany continue to top the pile with Spain and Switzerland moving into the top 10 at the expense of France and Italy.
