Following the win against Austria in Vienna earlier this month, Ireland have risen ten places in the FIFA Rankings.
Martin O'Neill's side are now up to 23rd in the World - just one place behind the Netherlands. It's Ireland's highest ranking position since they hit 18th in April 2012. The nadir of Ireland's ranking position was June 2014 when they sat in 70th.
Ireland have taken the joint second highest jump in the top 50 along with Egypt. Burkina Faso made the biggest leap of all - 17 places - to now sit in 50th.
Last month, despite the wins against Georgia and Moldova, Ireland dropped two places from 31st to 33rd.
Argentina remain at the summit of the rankings ahead of Brazil and Germany who have swapped places in the latest update.
Northern Ireland have risen four places to 32nd.
Wales and England are in 12th and 13th, respectively. Both have dropped one place.
