Ireland Coach Set To Take Job With Championship Club

Since joining Wycombe Wanderers in 1990, Steve Walford has been an indispensable part of every Martin O'Neill led management team.

The Irish Times report that he is set to divide his time between Bolton and Ireland, as Neil Lennon is anxious to take him on board as his assistant.

Martin O'Neill is said to be 'fine' with Walford taking on the role and any prospective Bolton position will not affect his role with Ireland.

 

He will replace former Celtic centre back Johan Mjallby who will return home to Sweden for family reasons.
