There's a major hint of Frank Lampard at the 2010 World Cup about this disallowed goal from Eric O'Flaherty at Cerebral Palsy Football World Championships.

Though unlike Lampard, it was O'Flaherty's side who handed out the 4-1 beating.

Ireland defeated Australia on Thursday and now look close to a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament. For a few seconds in the second half though, there was an ephemeral feeling that Ireland could be in trouble when the Aussies scored a penalty to make it 2-1.

It was only a momentary lapse from the Irish though.

A lovely ball from Gary Messett found Jason Moran on the edge of the opposition box. The target man chested down to Eric O'Flaherty who hit a stunning shot goalwards. It hit the bar, bounced down and certainly appeared to cross the line.

Despite appeals from the Irish players, the referee would not allow the goal.

O'Flaherty's frustration would not last long though. He grabbed Ireland's third of the game just over a minute later.
