Yes, the FIFA World Rankings appear to be nonsense most of the time but we still can't help paying attention when they're announced. And there's good news this time around.
Huzzah, we're once again better than Zambia and South Africa. After a steady slide in the rankings, down to a miserable 67, we're on a bit of a roll. For the third time in a row we've been bumped up and we're now hitting the heady heights of 60.
Watch out Gabon, we're coming for you. Now if we can finally get a competitive win over a team ranked above us against Scotland next week, we'll be absolutely flying.
