Milad Mohammadi has just lit up this World Cup with one of the most farcical throw-ins ever to grace the beautiful game. With the game poised at 1-0 to Spain with seconds left, and Iran in desperate need of a goal, Mohammadi had a throw-in on the left wing. The Akhmat Grozny player picked up the ball before going through a bizarre ritual which culminated in a failed barrel roll throw that the defender chickened out of at the last minute.
Take a look:
It would've been mad if he actually went through with the throw-in and Iran scored ? #IRNESP pic.twitter.com/KGcbGkk1YL

Here's a frame by frame breakdown of Mohammadi's brainfart:
A little shift of the Adidas Telstar, why not?
A little nod to the man upstairs, for the day that's in it.
A little bang off the mush, not sure what that added to anything.
No one saw this coming a little flip by Mohammadi to gain some momentum. Let's see how this plays out.
Here we go, it'll all be worth it no- oh no wait, fuck it, I'm pulling out. Plan B! Plan B!
The gall of Milad to put us through all of that only to take it from us at the last moment, hold your head in shame!
The coward's way out, Mohammadi plays the ball back towards his own half.
One of the moments of the World Cup so far.
