This is a nice story.
Ipswich Town player Tyrone Mings tweeted today that 3 points for his side would be a great birthday present for him. A supporter, Tris Monk, responded to the tweet by saying that he wished he could be at Portman Road but unfortunately couldn't afford a ticket.
Showing that footballers aren't all stereotypical selfish egotists, Mings offered to leave two tickets for the fan at the Ipswich Town ticket office, which Monk accepted graciously.
Ipswich Town even obliged the fan with a win on the day as they beat Bolton 1-0 thanks to an 88th minute winner from Carlos Edwards.
Tyrone Mings was an unused substitute in the game.
@tyronemings1 good luck today, wish i was there to watch, hopfully 3 points #skint
