There was some serious chaos during the final of a amateur football competition held in the Brazilian city of Criciúma recently. The two teams involved were São Defende and Internacional.
Internacional took the lead and then things started to boil over after the referee sent off a São Defende for punching an opponent. The referee didn't stop there though as he also sent off the recipient of the punch.

This incensed the manager of Internacional to no end as he proceeded to choke the ref amid some fracas.
Amazingly the match continued but there were further incidents including an assistant referee being hit by a stone thrown from the crowd and the crowd tearing down one of the pitch's perimeter fences.
