In Russia Referees Take The Law Into Their Own Hands

There seem to be an unusually large amount of player on official violence lately, albeit accidental. The question on eveyone's lips is when will the referees rise up and take action? Will officials sit idly by while their colleagues the world over were this week thrashed in the face by balls both basket and rugby. But this referee in Russia took a stand during the Zenit Shaktar friendly.

Did the ref slip? Yes. Did the player dive? Doubtful. Did the ref tackle the player? Hopefully. Without the benefit of replay it's tricky to say what happend but at the moment, it looks like the officials are striking back.
