A year ago today, the world of football was in mourning following the passing of Diego Maradona aged just 60.
On May 16th, 1980, a 19-year-old Maradona and Argentina took on Ireland at Lansdowne Road.
Argentina won the game 1-0 with José Valencia heading the winner from a Maradona free kick. (We've covered the game more in-depth here.)
Sportsfile's Ray McManus was there on that day 41 years ago.
