Ian Wright and Alan Shearer really threw the boot in on John O'Shea, and to a lesser extent his central defensive partner Lamine Koné, as they scrutinised another horrendous Sunderland performance on Match of the Day.
Sunderland, who by all accounts changed their club name to 'Already-relegated Sunderland' in late April, went down 2-0 to Swansea at the Stadium of Light, with Paul Clement's men taking one step closer to safety and, more pertinently, proving Paul Merson right about Marco Silva's appointment at Hull. Bloody foreign managers, eh?
O'Shea, to be fair, was horrendous on the day, and Wright began his analysis by explaining that he and Koné "couldn't get near" Fernando Llorente.
O'Shea gets himself all over the place. You see David Moyes blaming the 'keeper, but how can you blame the 'keeper with them two [Koné and O'Shea] playing in front of him all season?
Shearer labelled Sunderland's players "absolutely disgraceful," but reserved special criticism for O'Shea:
O'Shea had a terrible game. He plays the ball to Manquillo...just look at this here. I'm sorry, but that is just pathetic. Moaning at the referee, loses a tackle, nothing to get back at all.
You can hear the MOTD pundits take O'Shea's performance - and that of his teammates - apart below.
