You'd miss a bit of Ian Holloway in the Premier League. He had two short stints in the English top flight, lasting a full season with Blackpool in 2010/11 before getting sacked after only a couple of months with Crystal Palace in the 13/14 season.
While he was never the most exciting managers in terms of on pitch productivity, his press conferences were always box office.
Holloway had been out of the game for around 18 months before his recent appointment at Grimsby Town, where has been tasked with keeping the team in League Two. You probably haven't thought about him in a while, but he hit the headlines again today in a typical Holloway fashion.
Talksport regular Jamie O'Hara was recently appointed manager of Billericay Town and found himself in a bit of a pickle. His first choice goalkeeper had suffered an injury, and with no backup available, he was set to play himself in goal for an upcoming fixture.
When he shared the news live on-air, Holloway came to the rescue. He rang the show to offer the services of a young Grimsby goalkeeper, much to the delight of O'Hara.
"I've got a young lad. He's a wonderful kid." ✅
"I'll help you out. You can have him for nothing." 👏

I’ve been trying to ring you all morning.
I’ve got a young lad, he’s third choice at the minute, he’s a wonderful kid, 6ft 2in, and I’ve got my chief exec waiting for your call if you need him.
I’ll help you out – you can have him for nothing. If you can get it done, I can help you!
What a man.
