American blogger Walt Heenan has posted a pretty incredible photo on his blog of the gaelic football team representing Sligo in New York from 1926. As you can see from the image below and the blog itself, the photo was in tatters when his mother gave it to him, though Teenan managed to bring the photo back to life using image restoration software. As such it's a classic image from the GAA's bygone years and proof, as ever, that real footballers wear fedoras. View a larger sepia version of the image here.
