It has been confirmed that Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will miss Liverpool's Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona.
It comes after Salah was stretchered off with a head injury during their 3-2 win over Newcastle in the Premier League last week. Firmino is out with a groin injury.
While Firmino was already ruled out and replaced by Daniel Sturridge for the first leg, his Egyptian strike partner has also been ruled out on medical grounds.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp explained that Salah can return soon during his press conference.
"It's not a precaution, it's a concussion," said Klopp.
He would not even be allowed to play, so that's it. He feels ok but it's not good enough from a medical point of view, that's all. He's desperate, everything, but we cannot do it. He can play at the weekend.
Liverpool are set to welcome Barcelona to Anfield this Tuesday, as they attempt to turn over a three-goal deficit.
