How are both sides looking?

Ireland come into this game off the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Azerbaijan after a late Shane Duffy goal saved the boys in green from another embarrassing defeat at home. This result came after a valiant performance in the Algarve. Stephen Kenny's men were only denied victory by two late Cristiano Ronaldo goals as Portugal escaped with a 2-1 victory.

Serbia are top of the group on goal difference as it stands after their 4-1 victory at home to Luxembourg. 2 goals from Fulham striker Alexander Mitrovic helping Serbia get the 3 points and take their total to 10.

When these two sides last met in March with Serbia running out 3-2 winners in Belgrade after goals from Dusan Vlahovic and 2 more from Mitrovic cancelled out Alan Browne's opener and James Collins consolation.

With many questions and criticism on Stephen Kenny since his appointment a victory at home against Serbia will really be a high point in his short tenure so far and could be the first sign of progress since the former Dundalk manger took over last summer.
