Form Guide
Arsenal are still top of the table despite their last two disappointing results. A defeat to Everton and a draw to Brentford saw their healthy points advantage at the top of the league drop down to only being one loss away to lose their first place. They still played one game less than their direct rival but a defeat to Pep Guardiola's side would see both teams on 51 points; with Manchester City having the better goal difference they would sneak in front of the Gunners. Mikel Arteta's players will now be motivated to extend their lead at the top of the table. This could be a title deciding game against the Citizens and the Gunners will hope to get a win at the end of the 90 minutes.

On the other hand, Manchester City will try to motivate themselves by knowing that they could be first of the Premier League if they beat Arsenal. Their recent form is a mix of victories and defeats. Out of the last five games, they've won three and lost two of them against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Guardiola will hope that this trip to North London will allow them to bounce ahead of Arsenal in the league standings. Manchester City's coach said that his team must be 'ready' and there is 'Many games to play and a lot of points to be played too.' He also added that tonight's fixture against Arsenal is 'an important one, everyone knows it, we know it and we have to try to perform well.'

Injury Updates
Arsenal still have Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny out for this game with injuries. However, the Gunners still have a strong squad to play against Manchester City.
On the Citizens side, the only official injury is John Stones that still suffers from that thigh injury he sustained from Arsenal game in the last round of the FA Cup. However, their star player Erling Haland remains doubtful for tonight's match with Guardiola saying :
We train this afternoon. Right now I don’t know. Yesterday was about recovery from Aston Villa. That’s all.
What a team performance! Fans were unreal, thanks for being our 12th man 💙 #mancity pic.twitter.com/m70pexx8yt

The Manchester City staff will only know if their striker is fit to play just before kickoff. Haaland has made the arduous trip south to London.
