Back in the mid 90's Ireland had a problem with success, at Eurovision level. We were winning each and every year and it was costing us a fortune, it was even held in a stable in Cork for jebus sake. What was the solution, send a dud to purposely lose the competition and save the nation some cash.
The residents of the UK's second city Birmingham wanted the same result but went an entirely different way of achieving it. They took to the pitch last night and showed why the World Cup shouldn't go to the UK
