The good people at Sports Interactive have factored in the January transfer signings and simulated the rest of the Premier League season on Football Manager 2016.

Here are the results:

Blue Is The Colour

Manchester City win a third Premier League title, pipping Arsenal by a single point in a thrilling title race. The pivotal game comes on the penultimate game of the season at the Etihad, where City beat Arsenal 3-1. City's star man throughout the season is Sergio Aguero, scoring seven times in the run-in.

Foxes Fail To Stay In The Hunt

Leicester City fall away and eventually finish third, eleven points behind City. Whilst Jamie Vardy retains his sensational scoring form - notching eight goals in the final 14 games - three successive defeats against Sunderland, West Ham and Swansea in the final month of the season mean Leicester must comfort themsleves with third place and Champions League football next season.

Spurs Go Fourth And Conquer Manchester United

Tottenham grab the final Champions League spot, finishing one point ahead of Manchester United. Almost to prove Louis Van Gaal's point, United start scoring goals - 23 in the final 14 games - but simultaneously capitulate defensively: losing to Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Leicester and West Brom.

Hiddink Proves Chelsea's Golden Guus

Chelsea stage a remarkable recovery to finish sixth and join Manchester United in the Europa League, winning all but one of their remaining games (drawing against Norwich) to finish level on 66 points with United, only to lose out on Goal Difference. Diego Costa, Oscar and Willian are the stars of the Chelsea resurgence, whilst John Terry's performances in his final games for the club are impressive.

Klopp Of Merseyside

Liverpool finish seventh, also on 66 points, meaning they missed out on fourth place by a single point. Better news for Jurgen Klopp as he looks down the table to see Everton a place below, on 57 points. The critical game was a 3-1 win at Anfield for Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby, meaning Liverpool had lots to spare against an Everton team for whom new signing Omar Niasse impresses.

Bournemouth join Aston Villa and Sunderland in being relegated to the Championship. The Cherries finish 18th with 31 points, five points behind Norwich. Whilst Lewis Grabban and Benik Afobe form a decent partnership Bournemouth are let down by Juan Iturbe, who fails to make an impact upon the Premier League.

Sam Allardyce is relegated for the first time, level on points with Norwich and unusrprisingly Aston Villa finish bottom, albeit on 24 points, more than perhaps was expected.

Where We Are Going, We Will Need Rhodes

Middlesbrough are promoted automatically to the Premier League for the first time in nine seasons, along with Hull City. For 'Boro, new signing Jordan Rhodes proves invaluable, scoring ten goals in the run-in. The Championship is won by Hull City, finishing three points clear of the Teesiders.
