After Sunderland's 6-3 defeat of Exeter City at the Stadium of Light, the League 2 side did something unusual. They tidied up the away dugout. They're the first team anyone at Sunderland can remember doing such a thing.
George Caulkin of the London Times, who enjoyed his night at Sligo Rovers last week, wrote about the gesture in the paper today.
He paid tribute to the fan owned outfit who finished 10th in League Two last year. A compelling case for Exeter City to become everyone's second team - assuming they're not already your first team.
A small detail about Sunderland & Exeter City, which says a lot about them & about football in general. #ECFC #SAFC pic.twitter.com/92QkK26jaj
