Seems a bit rushed to me. They didn't even allow Hodgson the time to bring Liverpool through the Europa League quarterfinals and semifinals, where Roy has proven his mastery in the past.

As far as we can see, the highlights of the Hodgson era were a 3-0 defeat equally-terrible Aston Villa and this bizarre facerub.
