Away jerseys seem to be an inexplicably hard thing to get right, at least judging by what some kit manufacturers churn out each season. Today Leeds United have released their away kit for the 2018/19, and the reaction to it has been rather divisive.
Take a look:
Made up your mind? No? Well here's what Twitter made of Kappa's effort:
They won’t even see us coming to away games in the team bus ? #lufc #leedsunited pic.twitter.com/ioKen7Zz2N

Not a fan of this at all. Far too busy on the colours and lines. A simple yellow kit was called for and you settles on this!

Love it, gonna be a bit like marmite is this kit. But my opinion is it’s fucking beautiful x

New Leeds away kit has received a mixed reception in my house...
Youngest son "love it"
Wife "it's awful.... what is it supposed to be."
Eldest son: "it's weird"#LUFC— Richard Cook (@rich_cook30) August 9, 2018

That new Leeds away kit is very very good. Love a sublimated print. Yes, I’m a kit nerd

The new Leeds away kit is an instant classic in my eyes.
Absolute beauty. #lufc #MOT— Rich Williams (@richontheradio) August 9, 2018
For what it's worth I actually don't think it looks that bad, sure the comparisons with bus seats is valid, but the colour scheme is such that the design doesn't stand out too much. Also fair dues to Kappa for not just putting out a plain yellow away jersey, originality (however debated) should be admired.
