Experts believe at least 106 of Ian Rush's 108 goals for Liverpool were birthed of his sheer enthusiasm for milk.
As far as we're concerned, they're correct.
Back in 1989, young footballers around Britain and the parts of Ireland with fancy-dan BBCs and Channel 4s were faced with a dreadful predicament - either they drank their milk or their football careers would peak at then (and still)-aggressively mediocre Accrington Stanley. Because Ian Rush said so.
27 years on, and some genius has gone and done it again, recruiting the actor from the original ad - Carl Rice - to recreate it in all its glory.
The new version is advertising Black Cow vodka, which might strike as bizarre until you discover that the product is actually made from milk.
It can't be just us who believe Rice's acting to have come on in leaps and bounds since he became whatever a viral sensation was before the age of the internet (a tad more popular in school, perhaps).

Magnificent.
Carl Rice said:
I never imagined that the original ad would go on to make such an impact. Thirty years of working in this industry and people still fondly remember it. I’ve even been invited up to Accrington to watch the club a few times.
Remembering my lines for this Black Cow ad wasn’t exactly hard and the only difference was swapping the milk for milk vodka.
