Hibs Midfielder Hit With A Cup Of Tea Thrown From His Own Fans

We all love tea in Ireland. People who don't like tea are treated with suspicion. We love tea so much in this country that we've documented the love affair that Irish people have with tea and sports

So why would anyone want to THROW THEIR TEA AWAY? What are you doing? But alas, even though it seems like a foreign concept to us, it has happened. Not in this country mind, we're far to civilised for that, but in Scotland.

In the Scottish league cup semi-final between Hibernian and St. Johnstone, the Hibs fans weren't overly delighted at the referee. He had just called play back after Hibs midfielder Lee Johnstone tried to take a quick free-kick.

This clearly enraged one of the Hibs fans, who fired his full cup of tea in the referee's direction. Unfortunately, he was narrowly off with his aim and struck Johnstone who was standing because the ref.

At least, that's what I'm assuming to have happened, because the cup came from the Hibernian fans and struck their own player standing beside the ref. Unfortunately, it's not even the first time this sort of thing has happened this season.

Do not try this at home people - we know that tea is very hot, and that can hurt. Plus, why would you get rid of your tea? Madness.
