"He Does My Fucking Box In" - Scott Brown Hits Back At Celtic's Biggest Critic

Fresh off Celtic's fifth straight Scottish Premier League title, captain Scott Brown has wasted no time in responding to a pundit he describes as "a poor man's Gary Neville."

Speaking to The Telegraph, Brown turned his attention to former Bhoy Andy Walker, now a tv pundit with Sky Sports and an outspoken critic of the current Celtic regime and squad:

You can only beat the teams that are in front of you and yet again we’ve done that but we’ve been criticized all season and we take that on the chin.

Andy Walker is one that goes out there and does it but he’s never had a manager’s job or knows what it’s like to be coming in here day in, day out.

It might seem a little harsh on Walker, who literally did come into Parkhead day in, day out in the late '80s; he was a member of the Celtic side which won the Scottish league and cup double in the club’s centenary year of 1988.

But, true to form, Brown didn't let up there:

He’s pretty much a poor man’s Gary Neville. It’s every day. He does my fucking box in.

I’m sure he would say that when he was playing so many years ago there were pundits coming out and slaughtering people but you think people are bigger than that and better than that and that he could maybe stick up for the club and manager a bit more.

It’s the manager that has got it more than anyone else and it’s easy for him (Walker) sitting up there saying things. Anybody could do that but he walks out the tunnel and doesn’t even look in anyone’s eyes and puts his head down, so he obviously knows he’s done something wrong.

At the end of the day, who cares? It’s only him. It’s five in a row and we are the ones who are laughing.

30-year-old Brown has set up two goals in as many weeks, but has come under increased scrutiny from the Parkhead faithful in recent months, with some claiming him to be on the decline as a footballer.
