After the dust finally settled over a pulsating Premier League clash between Arsenal and Chelsea it was left to Hector Bellerin and Eden Hazard to debate an extremely contentious penalty. In the 67th minute the ball bobbled up in the Arsenal box and both players went to contest the ball. Bellerin made minimal contact with the Belgian the Chelsea number 10 went down like a tonne of bricks and the referee duly awarded the spot kick.
But Bellerin has the last laugh as the Spaniard leveled the match in stoppage time, brilliantly steering home a loose ball on the half volley.
In the post-match interview both Bellerin and Hazard were asked about their thoughts on the penalty incident, with Bellerin was rather diplomatic in his answer:
He's very quick in the box. I saw the ball in the air and tried to challenge for it. We both got to the ball at the same time and the referee thought it was a penalty. We will have to see the replay.
Hazard refuted Bellerin's statement saying that there was no need to look at the
No we don't need a replay, yeah it's a penalty.

Dermot Gallagher also weighed in on the decision reasoning that 'it's so subjective' but that when Bellerin made contact with Hazard 'the referee is duty bound to give a penalty'. Wenger called the decision 'farcical'.
