The Harry Redknapp era at Birmingham City has come to an end.
After guiding the team to survival last season, the former Tottenham manager brought 14 players into the club in the Transfer Window, but has not seen results improve.
On Saturday afternoon, Birmingham lost 3-1 at home to Preston North End, despite taking the lead at St. Andrews. The loss was Birmingham's fifth in a row, and that proved to be enough for the team's owners.
In a statement released less than two hours after the match, they confirmed the 70-year-old had left his job.

Redknapp has been replaced by former Republic of Ireland midfielder Lee Carsley. He takes the job in a caretaker role.
Carsley is one of the most widely-respected young coaches in English football. Last month, he was given a part-time role with the England Under-21s to complement his role with Birmingham City.
