Well this should be t'riffic. In what is a very surprising move, Harry Redknapp is set to become the latest footballing personality to appear on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

According to the Mirror, the former Tottenham manager will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Dennis Wise and Jimmy Bullard by entering the Australian jungle.

Out of work ever since ending a disastrous spell at Championship club Birmingham City in 2017, Redknapp is believed to be commanding a fee of over £100,000 to take part in the show. A Mirror source had this to say:

Harry is never anything less than good value. He’s had a long, interesting career and knows a lot of famous people. He’ll be fun to watch.

The new series is set to hit our screens in mid-November, and many football fans will likely keep an eye out for the progress of 'Arry. He is well-liked character in the world of football, and is known to spin a yarn or two about his wheeling and dealing in the transfer market.

Hopefully we can hear a few more nuggets such as these on the show:

How Redknapp will deal with the adversity of life in the jungle will be very interesting to see. A lack of food, boredom and a bushtucker trials are some examples of the challenges he will face.

He is not exactly the most self-sufficient person, once admitting he would not last a day without his wife Sandra.

I wouldn't cope. I'm useless. She treats me like a baby.

She does everything. I can't cook, I can't make a coffee, I can't do nothing.

This is definitely going to be an interesting one.

Expect to hear a deal announced for Niko Kranjčar to join the show in the coming weeks.
