The 5 June 2002 has been made famous by the sight of Mick McCarthy skipping gaily along the the touchline and Robbie Keane performing another of his cartwheels after the last minute equaliser against Germany.

Being the age I am, half of my friends seemed to get news of the dramatic late equaliser from some invigilator who spent their days strolling around the classroom ostensibly keeping an eye out for cheating but really just passing the time. I have heard many similar horror stories down the years.

I was fortunate enough to be a second year at the time and was thus just a few days into those glorious summer holidays.

Where were you when Robbie squeezed home that equaliser this day 12 years ago?

The goal is also responsible for the finest youtube comment of all time, recorded in these very pages two years ago.
