It's a season which Eden Hazard will mostly want to forget but also one for which Leicester fans will have great reason to remember him.

Last night, Hazard scored the goal which put the Premier League title out of Spurs' reach and sent the city of Leicester into raptures.

After the game, interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink received a phone call from Claudio Ranieri thanking him and his side for their efforts.

Facts don’t lie. Just after the game, a few minutes after the judo I got a call from Ranieri. He called and thanked us for what we did. Especially in the second half.

Hiddink said that the Italian sounded emotional on the phone.

Yes. I didn’t see any tears because it wasn’t a FaceTime conversation. But his voice was trembling a bit, yes.

He said thanks five times. Not much else because the emotion was going up. So that was it.

I congratulated him on being champions. I think they deserve it. It might not be a surprise anymore, but maybe a shock for the established clubs that they did so well.

You can be taken by surprise halfway through the season but what they did very well - and this is why I think they deserve it - they didn’t implode. There was no tension when they started smelling the title. That’s why I think they deserve it highly.

Here's Hiddink talking about that phone call from Ranieri.
