Manchester United defender Guillermo Varela has had his loan terminated by Eintracht Frankfurt after it emerged he'll miss the German Cup final due to a botched tattoo.
The 24-year-old will miss the DFB-Pokal final with Borussia Dortmund due to an infected tattoo, having been explicitly warned by the Bundesliga club not to get the fecking thing in the first place.
Bundesliga expert Alex Chaffer tweeted comments from Frankfurt sporting executive Fredi Bobic, in which Bobic said:
With this action, Guillermo's time at Frankfurt is over.
After picking up a bad ankle injury earlier this campaign, Varela played 10 games for Frankfurt in the 2016-17 campaign as they finished seventh in the Bundesliga and reached the cup final this weekend.
He had previously indicated he'd like to join the club on a permanent basis, but as per Bleacher Report, Bobic had suggested the fee to accrue his services on a permanent basis might have been too expensive.
In any case, a permanent move will now most certainly not be happening.
