Sunderland's Capital One Cup Final suits for this Sunday will be supplied by Mike Ashley, owner of their bitter rivals Newcastle United.
The Mackems have signed a contract with clothing company Cruise, which was bought up by Ashley in 2011. They will supply the club with formal wear until the end of the 2014-15 season.
Fans of both clubs have expressed disapproval of the deal, though it has caused much amusement among the ranks of the Toon Army.
Gary Hutchinson, Sunderland AFC's commercial director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Cruise to the Sunderland family.
'The Hugo Boss suits provided by Cruise are of an exceptional standard and are highly on trend with this season’s latest cut and will give players and staff a unified and sophisticated appearance, the suits will be worn by members of the squad and staff at official club engagements,' said the club official, offering nothing interesting or surprising with his comments.
Hopefully the suits are a little more brash and controversial, like Ashley himself.
